PlayStation 4 Price Drop in China and Other Asian Countries - News

Sony cut the price of the PlayStation 4 earlier this week in Japan and it has now extended this price cutting to other Asian countries.
The price in China is set to drop by 17 percent on October 1st, to CNY 2,399 ($375), according to Dr. Serkan Toto on Twitter.
The price of the PlayStation 4 in Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Indonesia will also drop on October 1st (see image above).
It's now looking increasingly likely that Sony will reduce the price of the PlayStation across the world later this year.

It doesn't really need a price drop outside of the Asian market though. It's beating the competition and pushing enough units a week to keep software sales near a million total at retail.
