My Retro Game Box is a new monthly subscription service that gives out random retro games every month. Games are available in either PAL or NTSC. The platforms you get games from include NES, SNES, Nintendo 64, Game Boy, Game Boy Color, Game Boy Advance, Sega Master System, Sega Megadrive, and the Sega Genesis.
"My Retro Game Box is a monthly subscription service - every month you'll get a random (but carefully chosen) selection of games for retro consoles," read the official site. "You'll get to keep them forever, we're not a rental service. The boxes you receive are curated by an obsessive retro games collector, so you won't be shortchanged."
"Once you subscribe we'll be in touch to ask you about your current collection and what your preferences are, so we can get your subscription just right. If you say no sports games, you'll never receive a sports game. We'll always make sure the games are cleaned and working for you too."
The model is very similar to Loot Crate. A subscription costs $35 for one month, $100 for three months, $190 for six months, or $350 for 12 months.

Who is this for? A collector would be looking at duplicate and quality issues, and casuals don't care about retro.
$35.00 a MONTH? lol I can buy a copy of Super Metroid right now at my local shop for less than that and I'm pretty damn sure you won't be getting games of THAT caliber monthly.
don't buy it for value, that's not what it's for. You pay a premium for convenience and picking good games. There are a lot of services like this for other things.
Sounds like resellers found a new way to rip people off from those buy 1 get 1 free bins
35$ is a little much, however if I did pay that I would expect to get all the classics
how is that new heard about this like 1 year ago? Or did they just start to sent the first boxes? Im confused. Well anyway I still dont see its appeal when you receive 20€ worth of games for 30€ (when you live in europe) I have yet to see some1 unbox their box and get something that has more value than $35. I once bought a SNES including DKC MarioKart Yoshis Island SMW and Zelda all original cables 2 original controllers for 35€ on a flee market.... Or is this about getting someting you have no idea whats inside instead of getting something of value? If thats the case then just ignore what I said :)
I think you're mixing this up with the Indiebox, which started a year ago. As for the price, I'm a bit sceptical too but the games will be MINT with all manuals and goodies included if I get the FAQs right, so of course these are more expensive than used games.
