The Xbox One has been delayed in China just a matter of days before its original launch to sometime later this year. The release event is still happening as schedule and Microsoft is giving away 100 free Xbox One's. However, they will only receive their Xbox One when it launches.

"Despite strong and steady progress, we are going to need more a bit more time to deliver the best experiences possible for our fans in China," read a statement. "At Xbox, we pride ourselves on delivering first rate gaming and entertainment experiences and to allow us to deliver on that promise we need to reschedule the launch of Xbox One. Working with our partner, BesTV, we look forward to launching in China by the end of this year."

"We have one opportunity to launch Xbox in China and we want to deliver a world-class experience for our fans," general manager for Xbox in China Enwei Xie told news organization Xinhua. "For our first fans who have pre-ordered, we are committed to ensuring you are the first to receive Xbox One, along with an added bonus."

Microsoft has stated the Xbox One launch in China will be big. They are trying to have 70 games available at launch from 25 first and third party developers. They also want the console available in 4,000 retailers in 37 cities.
