Any information about European sales? And has it not been released in Japan yet? It is really a pity that this game hasn't received any attention at all... Yes, it is just a remake (without a lot of new features...) but still an excellent game. And yes, it reminded me of Zelda, but that is not a bad thing. Words cannot describe how much I love this game. The controls are much better than the original and really add to the experience. Well finally beat every major title that I wanted to beat this holiday season ... had time to pick something new for the Wii. Played this for 3 hours ... can't say I am really feeling the game. Capcom said the Wii #s (some 350,000) were WW, while the ps2 300,000 were NA only. They said the Wii version hasnt outsold the ps2 version, but they gave no #s for ps2 WW, so i doubt its a significant difference. Message | Report |

Capcom, the game may not have sold as well as the original, but that was expected. I don't understand why the game wasn't successful on both PS2 and Wii. A couple hours in and I'm loving this game. Though the initial opening was slow. Don't get me wrong I love for a game to have a great storyline, but I prefer if it is more broken down into pieces instead of like reading a book at the beginning of the game. I suppose next its going to be that they were proving the Wii had bad sales because of Zack and Wiki. Capcom isn't going to just outright quit making games for the best selling console. They need to make games and market them correctly Not every game can sell like the port of RE4 did or games like Carnival Games. I think it's a matter of opinion. This game is the definitive version. Especially since most people who disagree didn't even realize you can hold z to make the game draw a straight line. I think their opinion is pretty meaningless. I played through the PS2 game when it first launched and have to say the controls are more natural and better on the Wii as are the graphics in 480p and true widescreen for the first time. As for the credits I agree but find it to be a pretty minor thing. Message | Report |

This port sadly get's what it deserves. If you're going to release a port of a game two years after the original that isn't the definitive version then what incentive is there to buy that version? There's no reason they couldn't have offered an alternate control scheme using the Classic Controller or included the credits. Instead of offering what the PS2 version had and more this port merely just offered a compromise. Capcom made the right choice in choosing Okami to try and prove games don't sell on the Wii. I'm sure they were a bit miff'd to see Umbrella Chronicles do so well (notice how they said Umbrella Chronicles was going to be the final test for the Wii, then after its success suddenly the said, oh Okami is the next test). I can complain about 90,000 copies because its sales are dropping fast, without good legs this game isn't going any where. And its sad because its such an amazing game and its a game that deserves to be franchised. 73K after two weeks. That's a strong opening. The more I look at the release schedules, the more I think Okami is going to get strangled by competition. So, Brawl's opening week in the states was more than twice that of Galaxy's. Thus, we can say that Brawl will sell more than twice as much as Galaxy. I guess all Wii games have the exact same scale based entirely on their opening week. Dang, I need to write this down! Message | Report |

What is with all of these "Is it going to sell?" questions? Of course it's going to sell well! For example, let's take a recently released Wii game expected to be a sales disaster... No More Heroes 40,000 First Week 260,000 LTD M Rated $49.99 Okami ????? T Rated $39.99 And Okami is a known commodity upon release since it is a port. And the reviews (as the box art is quick to point out) are overwhelmingly positive. My estimates... 65,000 First Week US 300k US 230k UK 170k Japan Somewhere between 700k and 1 million for it's lifetime depending on how strong the legs/word of mouth is amongst gamers. I've finished all zelda main games except for BOTW, and I really like japanese stuff... but I think this game is way overrated by it fans. It was my first Wii game and I've tried to finish it a lot of times, but it's so boring that I just can't keep playing it. Message | Report |
