Anyways, on the actual topic of U3...these legs are beastly; not even all that far behind MW3's at this point, which is pretty amazing. I would love it if U3 reached 5 million by year's end. Could be possible with Christmas sales and a price drop maybe? Regardless, I think 6 million is certainly likely considering the history of Uncharted games' long-term legs. Message | Report |

this is what i said in the uncharted thread 17.3 million shipped 14.4 million VGC sales Uncharted: GA: 0.53 million Uncharted 1: 4.21 million Uncharted 2: 5.56 million Uncharted 3: 4.17 million 2.9 million on shelves seems legit. any way its probably 2 million undertracked/not reported digital sales. with less than 2 million Vitas in the wild (1.9m) i will guess that Uncharted: GA has shipped ~1.32 million that leaves 16 million shipped for Uncharted 1, 2, and 3. VGC has it at 13.9 million. its likely sold 15 million. so 1 million undertracked for 1, 2, 3. so my guess is sales really look like this: Uncharted 1: 4.41 million (.2 million under) Uncharted 2: 5.81 million (.25 million under) Uncharted 3: 4.72 million (.55 million under) so that would leave 1.1 million on selves for the 3 games Message | Report |

@ CGI - Quality, I'm going to have to disagree with you on this one. Based on the numbers provided by Sony, the series is more then just "Slightly" under-tracked. There is no way there are close to 3 mil units sitting in shelves. Think about it, U1 is over 5 years old.. there are 100K units sitting on shelves at best. u2 is close to 3 years old, between 300K to 400K, and U3 could potentially have between 800K to 900K sitting on shelves... Now, let's not forget about U:GA. Since the Install base of the PSV is so small ( and the game is also available digitally) I say no more then 350K at best. Based on this numbers (numbers that are purely just a "guesstimate") VGchartz is under tracking the franchise by more then 1mil. I expect some big adjustments!!! Message | Report |

Naughty Dog won't bring Uncharted to PS4. They might do a last Uncharted on PS3 and then the franchise will permanently switch to Vita. Naughty Dog are all about creating new franchises with each succeeding playstation system. And doing a damned good job of it too. I actually wonder of The Last of Us isn't Naughty Dog doing something a bit different, starting a new franchise late in this cycle and carrying it forward into the next. Message | Report |

It won't win any awards for it but it's good enough for those who want something a little different from the usual FPS multiplayer. My brother loves the MP and i play with him on occasion. If U3 continues to outsell Gears 3 at the same rate it has been since the start of 2012, it will surpass Gears 3's sales within 9 months. Big "if" though, especially since U3's incredible legs are finally starting to slow down a little. Here's to hoping! The pirate ship levels didn't advance the story at all. Drake didn't drink anything for days in the desert and he can still kill 50 mercs by himself. LOL. The gameplay didn't reall change except the monotonic and unrealistic fist fights where everybody forgot to bring thir guns and the game becomes a beat em up until you defeat 20 enemies. I could continoue all day... Still. It was a really enjoyable game I'm just said they messed it up so bad. :S Message | Report |

Better than the second one? :O The game is much shorter than Among Thieves. The set pieces became unexciting I mean they were still really cool but you expectzed them after the second game and they became fuckin over the the top. (Drake flies after the Parachute! :O It's like I'm watching Transporter) The enemy soldiers always sacrifiesed themselfes just to kill Drake. WTF? :O The story didn't make any sense, it's a freakin' plot hole fest: Who's Talbot? How can he use magic? Why was Marlowe so important to him? Who's Cutter? We don't know anyhing about him? How did he became a member of Marlowe's crew? What do we know about Marlowe organization? What were they doing? What are the spiders? What excatly happened between Elena and Drake before the game? So they were married and then seperated? Full of bad design choices: What happened to Chloe and Cutter? They were cut out from the second part of the game. They should have least been on the ending. This was 500k ahead of U2 by end of December. U2 did 1.7m in its second year, u3 will hit 500k next week and should match or exceed u2s second year putting it passed 5.0 million by the end of 2012. What a dissapointment after the almost perfect Among Thieves. The story was a complete mess, full of plot holes and characters without proper motivations or explanation. So many design flaws. It's much shorter than 2 too. NG you ruined one of my favourite series. :( Still, it was a pretty epic game and it's outstanding technically so I hope it reaches 6 million. Message | Report |

So much for the "excessive bundling" (which was still just a single bundle when the game released) statement. Uncharted 3 is selling 50k+ outside of the shopping haven of November to January. Yup my best friend works part time at Bestbuy and he says he has ordered copies of Uncharted 3 twice. (Once in the beginning of December and just a few days ago was the second time. And he says this is the similar situation throughout BestBuy in Canada. Message | Report |

well its obviously undertracked. they shipped 3.8 million first day, and according to VGC they STILL havent sold through that, more than 2.5 months after the game released. and at the pace its going, it wont sell through the initial shipment until March. 5 Months after the release! im calling bullshit. its 200k undertrakced at least Message | Report |

What Uncharted 3/Battlefield bundle? There wasn't one from what I've found. There was only the Uncharted 3 bundle which was a limited edition run. My store sold out and no longer can get any more in. My manager called around to the warehouses and other stores looking to see if anyone had anymore and no one did. Sony did not replenish the bundle afterwards. Because it was a limited edition. I work at Gamestop. We got a grand total of 30 bundled units in the span of two weeks. 20 the first week and 10 the second week. The second week shipment was suppose to come in the first week, but got delayed for some of the busier stores getting in the way. Of course I've been with the stance of Sony providing only 1 bundle. I don't consider retailer bundles to count towards Sony "heavily bundling" Uncharted 3. Message | Report |

In other words bundled freely with the ps3... Look, I know there's bundling of UC3 in little old New Zealand. But there's bundling and then there's BUNDLING. Here there are numerous bundling options for PS#, as well as buying a "naked" PS3. UC3 is one of the bundling options. If someone decides to buy the UC3 PS3 bundle then that's a legit sale, because the customer wanted UC3. If they didn't want UC3 then they would have chosen another option. Sometimes a specific game is included with all consoles sold, that's not a legitimate sale of the game, because people will get the game like it or not, e.g. Wii Play and Kinect Adventures. Other times there's bundles like buy this console and pick 3 games from a list of 6. If UC3 is in that sort of bundle then people who pick it have bought the game. So, bundling, except when the consumer is goven no options, does not in any way detract from the sales numbers we see for a game. It might detract from revenue, but we here don't care about revenue that much. Message | Report |

can someone please give a link or source to this "heavy bundling". if by heavy bundle they mean a limited edition North American ONLY console bundle for $50 more than base price, then yes it was heavily bundled. i just wonder what that makes Forza. Are you people serious!? Every 320GB PS3 bundle now comes with either the PS move bundle or this game, it is being bundled A LOT. I don't understand why people get so defensive about this game when it comes to identifying mass bundling for the reason it's been selling so well. Call it a Limited Edition bundle or whatever you like, at the end of the day it's being bundled (given away for free) just like the Forza 2&3 bundles and the recent Fable 3 bundle so I am not impressed at all by these sales. Anyway, I'm not going to argue with crazed, deluded Uncharted fans. I thought Uncharted 3 was very mediocre, 6/10. Message | Report |

There was a single Limited Edition system bundle for the release of Uncharted 3. That was it. The bundle flew off the shelves (I work at a Gamestop in Oklahoma, United States and got 20 units for the first day and sold out of those in roughly 30 minutes. The following week we got another 10 units and sold out of those in about an hour. (which was the week MW3 and Skyrim came out) Message | Report |

Maybe not bundled in the USA other than the special edition box. But leading up to Christmas here it got thrown into a few PS3 deals. So 4M but end of 2011 was overly ambitious, but it's sure tracking well ahead of UC2, so nicely done. 3.5 million by end of January maybe. 5 million by end of 2012. Absolutely no proof this is undertracked. Until sony announces sell through numbers like EA and Bethesda have been doing we have no way of finding out how accurate these numbers are because this game is heavily bundled hence npd and other tracking firms who dont track free copies will show much lower sales. @oni-link, It's going to be at about 3.4m at the end of the year. Next year, it should sell between 1-2m next year, putting it above or very close to 5m. Then add in sales in 2013 and you'll see that it should be well over 5m when it's all over. 5m should not be 'max'. Max should be around 6m with 5m being a conservative prediction Message | Report |
