This is the ultimate example of a grind fest, 130 hours in and only 44 out of 48 achievements

I don't understand. We have a little of good jRPG and they still don't sell when they come out ?? Why people who already finished FFXIII don't buy this game ?

I even do not understand why this game was realeased (almost) at the same time that Final Fantasy XIII. The same story one year ago: ToV and SO IV where released with 2 weeks of difference in Europe ...

only 300 (spartans) bought this game in europe? i guess the minority might win on this one, because this game is good.

Clearly a vast majority of JRPG fans are more interested in FF XIII.

Perhaps it'll have a huge sales boost after price cuts. Valkyria Chronicles for example had poor sales at full price.

Will this even hit 150k?
I don't think so

Why is this game doing so poorly in Europe? Granted it is doing bad in America and Japan but still!!

Shenmue is not a T RPG . Resonnance of fate is a rpg tactics with awesome musics and nice atmosphere

A rpg like shenmue, some said. It looks interesting, even if im doubtful about the lack of other weapons than guns..

BTW, I am definitely interested in this game. I haven't played a Tri-Ace game I didn't like.

They do things differently over there, but I would consider Yakuza for all intents and purposes an adventure game. If you want to get technical, even Final Fantasy is not a role playing game. How can you assume the role of a character you didn't 'create'? FF is an 'epic adventure' game that happens to use rpg elements in its mechanics. Wizardry is a good example of a 'true' rpg. btw, :)

I would say Yakuza 3 is for all intents and purposes a JRPG. You take the ROLE of Kazuma Kiryuu. Encountering enemies on the map initiates a battle sequence. Winning battles and doing side quests earns you experience which you can use to upgrade your combat abilities, health, etc. You also have an inventory to manage, and can equip weapons, armour and accessories. Oh and lets not forget that the Yakuza titles are all heavily story driven. How is it not an RPG?

Well its not a RPG like Final Fantasy. But it's a RPG like Shenmue.

Thanks for (intentionally?) missing my point about loyalty. A loyal gamer who likes a certain developers works will purchase whichever console is needed to play the games they like. In Japan, gamers who don't like a console will not buy a game even if they are fans of it. At least in mass numbers anyway. @Puggsly........when did Yakuza become an RPG???! hahaha

@urmeshixr ROF is published by Sega I guess some people can't read.

Well if you do the math you would notice the attach ratio in Japan is about the same on both consoles.

Also, the PS3 has other Sega RPGs (Valkyria Chronicles and Yakuza). So obviously they have a fanbase built there already.

Wow the Japanese gamers are not very loyal are they. I guess they will only buy a game if the like the console it is on. Not a very good message to send to the developers who actually make the game. Oh well, they can miss out if they want to. haha
