You misunderstand me SmokedHostage.

By "retarded" i meant that level beyond hard, where it's just so hard that its kinda ridiculous and you're constantly trying over and over again to overcome the challenge.
Marx Soul made the True Arena, all those hours of getting my pink ass handed to me...

What are you talking about? It's easy but the new modes are hard as far as Kirby games go. Also Marx Soul in the TRUE ARENA is a monster.

I didn't realize this game hadn't been released in Europe yet.

Kirby isn't huge in Europe, but the fact that the game isn't out in all major territories makes the sales more impressive.

This will easily be the second best-selling Kirby game ever according to VGC numbers. The original is listed at 5.13m, and Kirby's DreamLand 2 is second at 2.36m. This will sell 3 million.

It still just has a vague "2009" release date for Europe.

@C.T.

If you try to act intelligent, do it correctly. You're supposed to capitalize the first letter of every sentence, which you failed to do in the beginning of your second. You're missing a comma after "old japanese," a period before "In this case," and a comma after "In this case." You also failed to close the last quote in your message, and you put the period before the parenthesized message in the sentence, when it should actually be after it because the parenthesized message is part of said sentence. You're also missing an apostrophe in "stars" because it's possessive, not plural. Oh yes, you also failed to capitalize Kirby in one spot, and other pronouns as well.

I love playing the condescending game too, by the way. ;)

Khuutra posted 06/01/2009, 10:53
I learned two things from this page. The first is something about the Japanese language!

The second is that Kirby is apparently as big now as he ever was. I wonder when this will stop selling, and at what level. With Europe, it could easily top three million.

C.T. posted 04/01/2009, 05:37
@ Incandescence

If you try to act intelligent, do it correctly. the japanese "no" has many functions, possession is only one of them. The other one is to modify a noun; specify what the noun is. (sensei no yoshi-san; Yoshi, the teacher) In old japanese it was the subject marker (nowadays "ga") In this case it means: "kirby, the star. (Kirby, who is a star) Not that Kirby is a stars possession.

1.49 in only 2 territories. Kirby is going to make at least 2 million with this one. Maybe even more. Now we just need him to make the leap to the Wii in a non-Smash Bros. game.

"No" is the romanized Japanese particle used to indicate possession. "Hoshi" means Star in Japanese. That should be enough for you to figure out.

I have finished it! Game was rad!
here is a little review:
this is a short review of the game and what i think of it:
GOOD:
*Visuals: This game is pretty, all the of KSS is re-drawn, with additional CG cutcenes too, I am Impressed the most in this category,It clearly shows that Alot of effort was put into this, and doesn't feel like a quick cash graper.
*Gameplay: everything from KSS is back here, nothing was being cut from the movesets to the helpers, your known solid Kirby gameplay, playing multiplayer is a blast.
BAD:
*Sound: I can hardly hear the music and the sound effects even with the headphones, I am not sure what happened here, but the sound is VERY weak, the SNES version is superior here, but maybe this is the DS's fault for having a weaker sound chip than the SNES.
*Multiplayer: In order to play muti you need a second DS just to play the minigames, and an extra cart to play the normal mutiplayer in the main game, It is really a hassle compared to the SNES where you just need a second controller, but then again this is the DS's (any handheld really) fault.
