3DS is dead. Will probably be discontinued next FY. PS4 really hurting in Japan XBO hurting everywhere. Switch soaring to new heights. 2020 should become its best year.

Wow, with a 300K weekly baseline Nintendo should reach that 20M within the fiscal year ending March. Maybe they already have their 18M forecast.

The Switch's sales this week is up 21% from the same week last year, this is showing that the Switch momentum is far from slowing down and the Switch still not at it's peak yet. This is amazing for a system that's nearly 3 years old to still be growing in sales year after year when the Switch hasn't even had it's first real price cut yet. At this rate I believe the Switch will outsell the Wii.

Wow, PS4 is already lower in the 3rd week of the year than it got in any week last year. Xbox got to 37k last year, so it still has a ways to fall before it reaches new lows. Meanwhile Switch had only 2 weeks with 300k+ before the holiday season last year, but it's already past that this year. It reached its new baseline by this week last year and kept it until the spring doldrums, but this spring Switch has Animal Crossing, so it might not have that same lull period. If 300k is its new baseline, this year won't just be over last, it'll be a pretty big jump, potentially on the order of 5+ million, a 20% jump. That'd be 26 million units, it would pass the 3DS by the end of the year.

It's crazy to think that the switch only recently crossed Xbone in sales and that PS4 still outsells switch in europe

javi741 (on 22 January 2020)

I find it interesting though how the 6 year old PS4 outsold the hot switch in Europe, Europe might be the region that keeps the PS4's lifetime sales above the Switch when all said and done.
