The gap grew in favor of the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in March 2017. The gap in the latest month shrunk by 152,166 units and by 395,334 units in the last 12 months. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One lead by a combined 21.02 million units.
The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 in their first 41 months have sold a combined 65.45 million units, while the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One have sold a combined 86.47 million units.

Depending on how PS4 maintains its peak this could go either way. X1 is not gonna do a lot of major lifting from here on out judging by this year.
