PS4 vs Xbox One vs Wii U Global Lifetime Sales – November 2016 Update - Sales

Looking at the total sales of the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Wii U in November 2016 (October 30 - November 26) shows how the PlayStation 4 has continued to grow its lead over the Xbox One and Wii U, outselling both of them combined for another month. The Xbox One in turn continues to increase its lead over the Wii U and has nearly sold twice as many units.
The PlayStation 4 passed the 48 million mark and the Xbox One passed the 25 million mark. The PS4 has sold 48.97 million units lifetime, the Xbox One 25.47 million units, and the Wii U 13.65 million units.
Taking a look at the marketshare, the PlayStation 4 tops the other two platforms combined. The PlayStation 4 has 56 percent market share, the Xbox One sits at 29 percent, and the Wii U 15 percent.
PlayStation 4 Total Sales: 48,966,865
Xbox One Total Sales: 25,466,579
Wii U Total Sales: 13,646,898

The PS4 outsold the Xbox One by 1.53 million units for the month and the Wii U by 3.04 million units. The Xbox One outsold the Wii U by 1.51 units.
When you compare monthly sales to a year ago, all three platforms are down. The PlayStation 4 is down 446,187 units, the Xbox One is down 455,535 units, and the Wii U is down 376,426 units.
Taking a look at the marketshare, the PlayStation 4 managed to achieve 64 percent. The Xbox One accounted for 33 percent of the consoles sold, and the Wii U three percent.

Wii U Monthly Sales: 136,768
The Wii U beat the PS4 and Xbox One to the market by a year. The Wii U launched in November 2012, while the PS4 and Xbox One launched in November 2013.
