Gap change in latest month: 9,448 – PS4
Gap change over last 12 months: 960,128 – PS4
Total Lead: 1,710,781 – PS4
PS4 Total Sales: 13,679,049
Xbox One Total Sales: 11,968,268
In April 2016 the gap in the US between the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One grew in favor of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 sold 9,448 more units than the Xbox One in the last month to bring the platform's total lead to 1.71 million units. The PlayStation 4 also sold 960,128 more units in the last year.
The PlayStation 4 launched in the US on November 15th, 2013, while the Xbox One launched on November 22nd, 2013. The PlayStation 4 has sold 13.68 Million units in 30 months, while the Xbox One has sold 11.97 million units.

This generation has been decided some time ago, lets hope Microsoft doesn't lose faith and makes a better effort on the hardware next generation because their software and idea's have been refreshing and competitive this generation.
How have they been refreshing and competitive this gen?, that would imply they are giving and getting healthy growing competition on their end which they aren't due to their lineup, hardware, image and stance.
So this means that the PS4 got a 700k lead in just 3 months ?.
