Driveclub Lives On Following the Closure of Developer Evolution - News

by William D'Angelo , posted on 23 March 2016 / 5,314 Views

It was revealed yesterday that Sony would be shutting down Driveclub developer Evolution Studios.

The senior community manager at Evolution, Jamie Brayshaw, during the announcement of the closure of the studio revealed on Twitter that Driveclub will live on and another team at PlayStation will take care of it.

It wasn't made clear if it meant the servers would stay running for the game or if more DLC was planned.

They dont have a choice. There will be alot of angry gamers if that practice went into place.

DC is a great game. It's no Project Gotham Racing(Yes, I miss PGR) or Gran Turismo, but it sure is a great game.

Anybody else have times not upload to the servers? I happened to me a lot in various game modes, and I have no issues with any other game in this, or any other regard. A shame. I rather liked it otherwise, but that killed it for me. Anyways, best of luck to all those affected. My fav from them is still the original Motorstorm. MS 2 was good too.

I love DC, but i don't think i really need more DLC. I have almost them all and it's fine (in terms of quantity, top notch in terms of quality) imo. What i really want is VR for all races and cars.
Wish the guys behind this game could stay in Playstation, as i find them, very talented.

This comes off very apologetic.

Rush the game? Mate, it was supposed to be a launch title and suffered delay after delay.
