Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege Sells an Estimated 745K First Week at Retail - Sales

The latest Tom Clancy game - Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege - sold 744,962 units first week worldwide at retail, according to our estimates, which can be viewed on the VGChartz Global Weekly Chart for the week ending December 5th.

Breaking down the sales by platform, the game sold best on the PlayStation 4 with 425,485 units sold (57%), compared to 267,338 units sold on the Xbox One (36%). The game also sold 52,141 units on Windows PC at retail (7%).

 

Breaking down the sales by region, the game sold best in Europe with 311,330 units sold (42%), compared to 295,704 units sold in the US (40%). Looking more closely at Europe, the game sold 73,415 units in the UK, 67,361 units in Germany, and 53,526 units in France.

Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six: Siege launched worldwide on December 1st.

Whoa. Sold better in Europe? That doesn't seem like the norm.

Great game. Needs Team Survival and a more robust matchmaking system and they could have the shooter of the year.
