To coincide with the North American launch of Forza Motorsport 6 on the Xbox One today, Microsoft has revealed that more than seven million unique players have played the Forza series on the Xbox One.

"Xbox One is the home for racing this generation. Between Forza Motorsport 5 and Forza Horizon 2, over seven million unique players have joined the Forza community, racing on Xbox One," said Microsoft.

"For the millions of racing fans on Xbox One, the wait is over. Forza Motorsport 6, the biggest Forza ever created, including 460 cars, 26 world-famous locales and 24-car multiplayer, is now available to all players in North America and Australia today, with availability in Europe on Friday, Sept. 18."

I wonder if that includes people that downloaded the demos.

They would rather have 7 million sales instead.

They gonna have problem reaching half of that.

"Xbox One is the home for racing this generation." While this may be true now, I doubt that it will be able to put up much of a fight against Gran Turismo.

Forza regularly beats GT though.

Sales wise that's true.

Seventizz lol not even close...GT always beats the heck out of Forza in both sales and quality.

It's actually an impressive number of unique users playing Forza, since a user who bought all of them still counts as one user I think. Doesn't say much about sales tho.

Excellent franchise that's at the top of it's genre.

Although, I'd really like another Project Gotham.

That isnt much impressive when we are talking about 7 millions for three games (Forza 5, Forza 6, and Forza Horizon). I bet that GT7 will definitely do over 7 millions on its own.

That means little. Those 7 million include people borrowing/renting the game or buying it second hand. Plus the XBL multiple accounts (silver included) in the same console.

Agree with the first couple of comments but multiple accounts on most consoles? Doubt that would have much of an effect on those numbers.

it most likely includes the players who DL the free Fast and Furious stand alone pack

Yeah, 500,000 servers. I mean laps.

So approximately 2 people per copy of a Forza game sold (VGC 3 million for F5 and FH2 combined + digital sales). I guess that sounds about right.

Well thats good for a console with a 14 million userbase.
