Nintendo of Europe has announced, via Twitter, the next game in the Sonic Boom series.

Playable characters will apparently include Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Sticks, and Amy. Featured villains are Dr. Eggman and D-Fekt.
Sonic Boom: Fire and Ice will release on the Nintendo 3DS this winter.

Ugh another cartoon based flop we don't need more sonic boom
3DS exclusive, so probably just a low budget game recycling resouces from the last game. I wonder if this will end whatever deal Sega and Nintendo have.
Apparently they've got a cartoon about these guys, so one flop wasn't going to prevent a sequel.

The games were bad, especially the Wii U one, but they still made Sega a profit.
