New 3DS Launch Increases 3DS Sales by 345% to 423K Worldwide, Majora's Mask Sells 865K - News

Nintendo launched the latest update of their 8th generation handheld, the New Nintendo 3DS, in Europe and North America on February 13. First week worldwide sales are now in. 3DS sales jumped by 345 percent to 423,122 units.
The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D (3DS) was one of two major releases alongside the New 3DS in North America and Europe. The game sold 864,665 units in its first week on sale. Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate was already released in Japan, but the release in the West helped boost sales of the game to 324,863 units.
The New Nintendo 3DS first launched in Japan on October 11, 2014 and in Australia on November 21, 2014. The new handheld was released in Europe and North America on February 13.
