Destiny has been available on store shelves for a month now. Bungie in an update has stated in an update that in that time the game has averaged 3.2 million daily players. The average playtime is three hours, which includes weekdays.
"It’s been an incredible first month for Destiny," said Pete Parsons, COO Bungie. "Players are logging more hours per day then any game we have ever made, our servers have withstood millions of guardians experiencing Destiny and none of it would have been possible without our amazing community."
"We thank you for playing," said Bungie Community Manager Deej. "And, we thank you for the passion and enthusiasm that has made the Destiny community so strong already. It's been amazing to watch your Guardians become legends. Your reactions and your opinions have helped us to make Destiny better over this past month."
"Pioneering something new is never easy," continued Deej. "When we see the raw numbers, it’s easy for us to say that the destination was worth the journey."
