Wii will easily pass PS4 for a few years, then PS4 will pass the Wii. For the Wii = DAT ROP after 20M
I would like to see a X1 vs. PS3 comparison.
I think PS4 will sell more than Wii, but the 1 year Wii sell more(and much!).
The Wii had sold 20,000,000 first year...
I think PS4 will sold 14,000,000 maximum 15,000,000...
Wii will ruin PS4 for the next 2-3 years, then PS4 will comeback and finish with 120m+.
Do XB1 vs. WiiU next!
Wii was a beast! I think it sold 20M+ for more than a couple years didn't it. Wonder if PS4 can sustain this level.
"Wonder if PS4 can sustain this level."
It won't. Outlegging it is a very solid possibility though.
Quite surprised that Wii only gained 100K on PS4 last month. I thought Wii was more of a beast than that. Still I expect the gap to shrink dramatically over the next few months.
It was a beast, but Nintendo wasn't able to provide enough wii to meet the demand for more than a year where I live, while PS4 is selling fast, it's already available everywhere I go, well almost.
I wonder how many weeks more PS4 will hold the lead.
If I recall correctly, the Wii's supply issues were actually far more severe than what PS4 has gone through. The Wii defined what it meant for something to sell like hotcakes.
Lol no. The Wii was supply constrained in its first 1 year, the issues were resolved during the course of 2008, but issues started again with the Holiday period when it's sales rise dramaticasslly. There was no supply issues in 2010, it was in decline after 2009. If Nintendo could produce that many in it's peak years, surely they could meet all demand with lower sales. Anyway, the point is that Wii was never having supply issues for a full 3-4 year. I went to buy one at launch, they were sold out, pre-ordered and got mine in January 2007.
Once the novelty of the PS4 wears off, that line will go down a lot steeper...
I hate to have to keep bringing this up but I will until someone at least acknowledges the slant there... But The PS4 was available for purchaseTEN MONTHS before it actually released... Either the 10 months should be added to the respective time frames or the One Million + sales that it received during that time period should be subtracted from the respective totals.
