Overview
There are 12 games in the top 40 to be in its final week: 10 of the 12 games are for the Xbox One which launches on November 22. Call of Duty Ghosts, Battlefield 4, Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Madden NFL 25, NBA 2K14, FIFA Soccer 14, and Need for Speed Rivals.
The Xbox One opening week is in the US is expected to fall just shy of the PlayStation 4. The PlayStation 4 launched with 1.06 million units in the US, while the Xbox One is expected to sell around 900,000 units. However, the Xbox One is also launching in more countries. Xbox One worldwide launch sales are expected to reach between 1.2 and 1.5 million units.
Two games have 200,000 or more pre-orders, down from five last week, and the top 12 has 100,000 or more pre-orders, down from 15 last week. Six games added 20,000 or more pre-orders, up from five last week and 15 added 10,000 or more, down from 20 last week.
Games in Final Week Before Launch
Call of Duty: Ghosts (XOne) added 30,748 pre-orders for a final total of 462,512. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 650,000 to 750,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 2.5 million and 3.5 million units.
Now when we compare the combined pre-orders of Ghosts for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One it is 665,000 pre-orders behind Black Ops II for the Xbox 360.
Battlefield 4 (XOne) added 17,497 pre-orders for a final total of 204,905. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 275,000 to 375,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 1 million and 1.5 million units.
Now when we compare the combined pre-orders of Battlefield 4 for the Xbox 360 and Xbox One it is 374,000 pre-orders behind of Battlefield 3 for the Xbox 360.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (XOne) added 19,789 pre-orders for a final total of 196,273. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 275,000 to 350,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 800,000 and 1.2 million units.
Forza Motorsport 5 (XOne) added 24,870 pre-orders for a final total of 153,821. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 250,000 to 325,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 1 million and 1.4 million units.
The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds (3DS) added 58,610 pre-orders for a final total of 152,444. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 250,000 to 325,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 1.2 million and 1.6 million units.
Ryse: Son of Rome (XOne) added 23,068 pre-orders for a final total of 134,952. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 225,000 to 300,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 1 million and 1.4 million units.
Dead Rising 3 (XOne) added 19,306 pre-orders for a final total of 134,811. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 225,000 to 300,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 1 million and 1.4 million units.
Super Mario 3D World (WiiU) added 130,715 pre-orders for a final total of 96,619. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 150,000 to 250,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 1 million and 1.4 million units.
Madden NFL 25 (XOne) added 12,116 pre-orders for a final total of 89,881. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 125,000 to 175,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 400,000 and 600,000 units.
NBA 2K14 (XOne) added 11,192 pre-orders for a final total of 56,361. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 80,000 to 110,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 300,000 and 450,000 units.
FIFA Soccer 14 (XOne) added 7,914 pre-orders for a final total of 54,715. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 70,000 to 100,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 250,000 and 400,000 units.
Need for Speed Rivals (XOne) added 8,128 pre-orders for a final total of 45,079. Expect first week sales in the USA at retail to be in the 60,000 to 90,000 unit range. Expect the game to sell between 250,000 and 400,000 units.
Major Performers in the U.S. – Week Ending November 23
Call of Duty: Ghosts (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 150,000 units in its second week on sale.
Battlefield 4 (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 80,000 units in its second week on sale.
Killzone: Shadow Fall (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 80,000 units in its second week on sale.
Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 70,000 units in its second week on sale.
Madden NFL 25 (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 30,000 units in its second week on sale.
Knack (PS4) sales are expected to drop to around 30,000 units in its second week on sale.
Hardware and software sales are expected to increase across the board, except for the PlayStation 4 due to being supple constrained and its second week on sale. It is also the first week the Xbox One is on sale. The console is expected to sell around 900,000 units in its first week in the US.
Other Hot Games – In Order of Release
Titanfall (XOne) added 10,119 pre-orders, down from 11,668 last week, for a total of 89,702. The game is 17 weeks away from launch in the USA, March 11, 2014.
inFAMOUS: Second Son (PS4) added 12,454 pre-orders, up from 3,767 last week, for a total of 86,937. The game is 18 weeks away from launch in the USA, March 21, 2014.
Notable mentions: Watch Dogs (PS4) added 7,589 pre-orders for a total of 173,412. Gran Turismo 6 (PS3) added 35,160 pre-orders for a total of 132,657. Destiny (PS4) added 12,820 pre-orders for a total of 126,335.
Requests: Dying Light (PS4) added 3,464 pre-orders for a total of 25,586. The Evil Within (PS3) added 234 pre-orders for a total of 3,169. The Evil Within (X360) added 906 pre-orders for a total of 2,927. The Evil Within (PS4) entered the charts this week with 1,909 pre-orders.

Seems about right. Under PS4 even in US. Europe will be PS4 full territory so it will be easy. Both consoles will have sucess but from the look of it will be PS4 domination as the Home Console worldwide.

Keep in mind that Microsofts plan is to keep XBOXs one lifecycle more than ten years, and the console is future proof with dedicated server , cloud, kinect and the windows apps synchronization. The plan is to give you, an all in one experience with windows , windowsphone and XBOX. Sony on other hand has only row power, but for how long the machine will be relevant???

Damage control. Nobody cares about Cloud or Kinect or gadget when it's come to a console. Believe what you want, numbers will talk instead.

UK makes up 25 - 30% of the european home console market even though its only around 10% of europes population. Xbox has a dominant position in the UK. I have 20 - 30 friends who game and not a single one of them has a Ps3 they all have xbox 360s.
The Xbox One preorders have been sold out here for pretty much a month now, retailers have held back a bit of stock for general sale for this week to gain publicity but this is all gone now as well. Amazon UK are stating that any orders after mid November will not be fullfilled to after Christmas now, so they have basically forward sold all their pre Christmas stock.
I can see the states getting a million units for launch, with another 500k for limited launch in other key markets. If Us has got a million units the UK will have got at least 200k as its their main market outside the states. All of that stock is already sold, if 900k sales are predicted for US week one I would say another 200k for the UK and probably the same again from the rest of europe with most of those coming from Germany and the Scandavian countries. France and southern europe is very much PS territory.

These numbers don't seem right. Microsoft just announced that they sold over 1M within 24hrs of launch, world wide. So that would mean only 100,000-200,000 at most were sold outside of the US. I would think that MS would ship more than that. My guess the split would be more like 600,000 - 700,000 to North America (including Canada) and rest to outside of North America.
PC Titanfall is above the 360 version in pre-orders? Wow. Wonder how long that'll last, given how much of the PC sales will be on Steam and the like.

I don't get the opening paragraph, it's mentioning both Killzone: Shadow Fall and Knack?!
On another note, very impressed with preorders for both Titanfall (especially on XB One) and Infamous, great to see! These games will be very important for the "next-gen" (current gen) consoles in spring 2014.
Titanfall's already building some momentum. Its gonna be a fun spring.
