Harvest Moon: Hajimari no Daichi (3DS) has passed 200,000 in sales in Japan. Producer Yoshifumi Hashimoto announced on the games official blog and was translated by Andriasang. The game was released on February 23, 2012 and the game is still selling a good amount on a weekly basis.
Hashimoto also took the time to talk about Harvest Moon's 15th anniversary. An illustration book is set to be released, which contains more than 1,400 illustrations covering every Harvest Moon game, from the first one, all the way up to the most recent 3DS title.

Only another 50,000 or so needed to be the best selling entry in the series for Japan!
Media create has Island of Happiness at 304K. And that 200K is probably shipped, not sold to customers. This week's MC data list the 3DS entry at 184K.
I'm so happy. This is my favorite series... It has been a little rough the past few years. HM 64 is so amazing. I hope this game is everything I'm looking for.
also one of my favorite series...
Not bad at all... since its golden days HM became a niche title, tough one that can constantly pull off good numbers :-D
Extremely good for a harvest moon title.
