Where too begin...
Fallout 3 begins with you, being born, in a vault meant to protect a fe wselected humans from a nuclear apocolypse. your birth is the character creation, it's pretty creative, so +1 sadly your mother dies in child birth.
Basic story is, your dad escapes this Vault, which no one is supposed to leave, doing so will compromise its security, or somthing. sinc eyour dad escapes the vault leader attempts to kill you, so you escape and look for your father.
the main quest line has you going all over the "capital wasteland" which is parts of washington DC and surrounding area's.
like all reviews of mine i go through the good and bad. so here we go
--GOOD--
Beutiful, or erm, well created world to explore. plantlife is dead for the most part. Animals are deformed due to radiation, and most want to eat you or, well, kill you.
Huge fireants, Bears, Giant Roaches and some more baddies are out to kill you.
QUESTS! there aren't many quests, but the ones that are thier are very long and multi part. the Rewards are also worth it.
Very well played story line means you want to finish the game.
Skills, a pro and a con, you have to pick what you learn as you cannot get 100% in all skills. so choose wisely.
DC landmarks, the memorial building The white house, you get to explore DC after it gets nuked!
--THE BAD--
not all games are perfect, fallout 3 has it's flaws
Skills- you cannot learn everything or gain every perk.
IT'S A TRAP- there are bear traps and land mines, you can see them but they can be annoying, randomly taken damage bugs me. some people are the same
Caves and tunnels. alot of fallout 3 is spent under ground.
The Radio, though Good that its there, not enough songs, there are only about 5 songs that replay over and over. only one station plays music.
Bugs- there are a few assorted bugs that can be frustrating with all rpgs save often.
Game time- over 72 hours played.
replayability- beat it as good and bad, so 2 play throughs.
this game is reccomended to ALL RPG fans.

dunno if F3 is the best "Bethesda" Fallout (FNVegas offers more Rpg and gameplay, while F4 slowmotion action feels monumentally at times and has addictive crafting/building), but F3 main story, dialogues and side characters are imo the best of 3 (F3, FNV & F4), while F3's action compared to many games of today, is still epic on very hard! Fallout 3 is the best Bethesda game. It outsold Oblivion, and it's a big reason why Skyrim did so well. Message | Report |
