Super Paper Mario begins with the marriage of Peach and Bowser. Of course Peach doesn't want to marry him and Bowser can't wait to marry her, the marrage of course is all part of an evil plan to destory all worlds. Count bleck uses the marriage as a way to bring out the chaos heart, which has the evil power to destory not only the world but all worlds that exist. It is then up to mario to find his friends and save the day. Mario mets a pixl, which is a magic butterfly named tippi and they have to go and find 7 pure hearts in order to destory count bleck and the chaos heart. So basically you travel to different worlds collecting pure heart. Mario also meets other pixls and peach, bowser, and luigi. Although the story is simple and predictable it does has it tradional mario humor.
The game is suppose to be an RPG, however it is only loosely based off an RPG. You still have your HP, but there is no magic. The magic is replaced with the items you use and the pixls that you gather. However the items are almost useless because you will only truely need to use them but once or twice in a world. The game mostly plays like a 2-D platformer with some 3-D elements. You attack the enemies by jumping on there head or by use some of the pixls power. The pixls are almost useless as well, because you will only use a handful of them for the most part. They really only help you solve the puzzles in the game. The puzzles are creative and use the flip to 3-D element of the game very well. The art design is awesome with the whole paper and cartoonish style. The level designs are pretty impressive and even more when you flip to 3-D. With designs from the classic mario style to the underwhere world, which is kind of like hell or the underworld. The game is pretty easy, while the puzzle are creative they are not really all the hard, the boss battles are barely harder then the normal enemies. However that does not mean it is not fun, the game is very much that. The game is a pretty good length. Should take you about 15 to 20 hours to complete, depending on your skill level. The paceing of the game is not completely solid, but it does work well with the story and the gameplay. The graphics are great for what it is. I do wish they would have intergrated the Wii remote tech a little bit more, cause there isn't much more then turning it to point at the screen and shake it, which was disapointing.
Overall it it is a solid wii game. However It probably won't satisfy some of the more hardcore RPG players, however it is a good platformer and I do recomend that you pick one up if you want a fun and simple game. Overall 8 out of 10

Nintendo- instead of peddling this poor shitty game as a paper mario franchise, how about doing a correct, professionally done game that had all of the great elements of Thousand Year Door and N64 game. This pile of garbage isnt even good enough to be used as a drink coaster. Message | Report |

Worst game on the Wii hands down. They had several great ideas here they never ran with. Plus the horrid wretched stage designs were atrocious. If it wasnt for such a moving sad storyline everyone could get into,,.. this game would have tanked like Color Splash is right now for Wii U. Message | Report |
