Yet another pokemon game, on a next generation handheld, does it live up to the hype?

Pokemon diamond, one of the most anticipated pokemon games has released for the nintendo ds. With improved graphics, the return of a day and night system, and the introduction of ONLINE MULTIPLAYER as well as ONLINE TRADING, can this be the PERFECT pokemon game?My answer? Maybe.

Graphics- Graphics have been improved, its the first "3d" pokemon game on a handheld, and I like it. The day and night system has returned, and everything just feels cleaner in this pokemon title.

Story-

The storyline is just like the other pokemon games, there is a new gang, but there is a twist.. there are three legenday lakes, ofcourse this game takes place in the Sinoh region, which may be the most beutiful region yet! As you venture through gymn battles you are going to reach not 1 but 4 legendary pokemon.. can you catch them all?

Gameplay-

The gameplay is similar to most pokemon games, EXCEPT (something I hate), you are FORCED to use the touch screen while in a pokemon battle, I do not like that option, also the laoding times have increased when entering a battle, not drasticly but it is noticeble, and it can get annoying at times. Other than that expect the same pokemon gameplay, with a touch screen, and longer loading times, as well as BY FAR the best music in any pokemon game "since XD".

Multiplayer-

I am not a fan of the multiplayer (granted I am not a fan of most ds multiplayer games), and the trading can take a tremendous amount of time, but its something, the friend code system  is horrible though.. and  I WILL NEVER get used to it , NEVER NINTENDO.

length: Around 10-15 hours, about the average length of most pokemon games, that is if your just in it to get into the pokemon league, and beat team galactic..

I DO WARN YOU, if you do not plan on owning BOTH DIAMOND AND PEARL, I DO NOT RECOMMEND GETTING THE BEST POKEMON, BECAUSE THERE GOES YOUR REPLAYABILITY, SINCE YOU CANNOT HAVE 2 SAVED FILES.

Nintendo says 17.63m as of september 30.

Overtracked, another game that's not shipping anymore yet keeps getting sales according to VGC.

Now @ 18.20M, the game still manage to sell another little 200k in the last 2 years and a half, no bad considering this game was released in 2006/2007.
