I Kinda feel sorry for High Voltage Software, their game The Conduit was until recently the best wii fps, but Call of Duty Modern Warfare Reflex just nukes it of it's pedestal.

Well it's been over two years since Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was released on the 360, PS3, and PC, and it's just now coming to the Wii. But with a high quality game like this it's better late than never especially if you never got a chance to play it on the other consoles cause your an exclusive wii owner. But even if you have played the game before and your just looking for a good wii fps then look no farther.

Treyarch is the company that developed this port and the wii version Call of Duty 5: World at War. As for how this game compares to Call of Duty World of War on the wii. Put simply it's better in every way imaginable. The graphics got a boost, you can play with 10 players in stead of just 8. It has more multiplayer maps, more multiplayer modes, and more multiplayer chalanges. The single player campaign is far better too. It is very much the same campaign as the other versions with toned down graphics. It has way more control customization than the original console version. Using the wii mote in fps always has a learning curve but once you've got it down you've got controls just as accurate and precise as a PC fps but even more imersive.

So first I'll delve into the controls customization. I think most of you will be happy to hear that Treyarch took a clue from HVS's fps The Conduit, and incorperated almost all of the same control customization options. You can fully customize your deadzone box, turning speed, aiming reticle, and your button layout. Infact the button layout customization options are actually more flexible then the Conduit's cause you can completely turn off motion control for meleeing and grenade throwing. Granted you can't customize you're running speed, angle of look, camera style, or control style but none of those options are really missed as I think those are examples of control options we could have done without in The Conduit. The only missed option are the ability to customize in real time, and the ability to customize your hud. But the game does use numeric value to represent your sensitivity options like The Conduit, so you can transfer over most of your sensitivity options from The Conduit. Though you will have to do some math to transfer them because they don't operate on the same numeric scales. But it's worth the effort if you have already found your sweet spot on The Conduit, unless you really hate math.

Online is epic too. With more modes to play, bigger teams to play with, less lag to experience, and since it's the same Call of Duty 4 with all it's addictive level up system, perks, and chalanges, you'll be playing for years to come. The only flaw here is friend codes and lack of wii speak support but if you're a wii owner you're probably used to it by now.

I only have two complaints about the entire game. That complaint is that the friend codes system is still in place when there is no wii speak support. There is no way to communicate with other players online with or without exchanging friendcodes so there is no way for minors to be exposed sexual predators or sore loozers, and thus there is no need for the friend code system to be implemented to protect the minors, but yet it's still there serving no other purpose other than to annoy us.

But even with all that in mind it's still the same great game as the other console versions and the Call of Duty series is my favorite fps series mainly because of Modern Warfare 1 and 2. If you already own this game on another console you might want to pass this by unless you, like me, love how fps control on the wii or don't have a usable gaming PC or PS3 or if the paying for xbox live annoys the hell out of you. Sure you can't voice chat on the wii version but being free in comparison to xbox live goes a long way to make up for that shortcoming.

Well, Activision can't complain, it sold very good. Might have made a big profit for sure, specially considering it's a port of and older game.

Single player is good, but marred by terrible hit detection. Multiplayer is addicting, but the match making seems like it has issues.
