Dynasty Warrior 6 Empires: Platinum and Trophy Guide

Step 1: Create a character

Step 2: Beat each of the campaigns (This can be done on easiest difficulty if you choose)

There are 5 campaigns which take about 2-3 each to finish if you follow these simple steps.

(Note: the following steps should be done on the first campaign to get you used to how it works. Below the steps provided below, I will give you additional instructions for every subsequent campaign)

• “Yellow Turban Rebellion”
• Pick whatever character you want and start as an officer, not a leader
• Move to an area (preferably a small one with 1 or 2 provinces)
• Join the area’s leader
• Just keep hitting “End turn”
• Every few turns, your leader will show up and give you a task. Do not do the task.
• Also, a merchant will show up about every 6 turns. Do not buy the item
• If you are invaded, do not join the battle.
• If your faction is defeated, simply go to a new area and join them. Stick with smaller countries of only a few provinces.
• The country you are aligned to will never attack another country, and you are less likely to be attacked by an enemy.
• Just keep skipping turns until there is only your and one other faction left. You will probably have 3-5 areas at this point. From here, every turn, click on “event”. You will usually be able to “become friends with ______”, do so. You can only have 3 friends using this strategy and any extras will replace a friend of your choice.
• Keep skipping turns and every time you see “NEW” next to “Events” click on events to see what it is. Two options that you will want to look out for is “swear a pact to” and “marry”. It’s easier to marry when playing a female, and easier to swear pact when playing as a male. Which results you get may have something to do with the gender of your friends. Same sex friends will become “pacts” opposite sex friends will become “marry”.
• Continue to skip turns until you have one piece of land left. Save your game, then continue skipping turns. When you are finally invaded, join the battle when the prompt comes up. By this time your character will be a pretty high level.
• Run out of your base and hit pause, then click on “Defect”, this will make you join the other army. Simply finish the mission to earn the trophy.
• Remember to save your game and start the next campaign using “continue”, not “new game”. Otherwise you won’t get the trophy for completing all the campaigns.

Campaign #2 Battle of Chi Bi

• If you used a male character last time, use a female character in order to get the “marry” option instead of the swear oath option.
• Play only one assigned mission, preferably an invasion when you country is down to one piece of land.
• Once you get enough money, buy a red hare warhorse in the “Buy” section.
• Later in the game, when you are a high level, do some invasion missions:
  • While doing these missions, kill 1000 troops in one battle while on your horse (hit select to call horse)
  • Try to complete an invasion in under 8 minutes, this is easy to do with the red hare warhorse. You just need to connect one path from your main base to the enemy main base.
  • Use a surprise attack, hold the shoulder triggers while in your base and run to an enemy base.
  • Join the battle when you are invaded at least once and win
  • Complete at least one of these without using a Musou attack (your special attack)
  • Do everything as in the first campaign, but at the end when you are invaded, do not immediately defect. If you have been taking friends into battle, do not do that for this mission. Wait for the enemy to overrun your forces. When your leader appears in your “main base”, and when the troops in the base are few, defect, and attack the leader until his health is very low, like, 8-10 hits left before he dies. Just leave the base and wait for him to die.

Campaign #’s 3, 4,5; Battle of Guan Du, The Three Kingdoms, Land in Chaos

• If you missed any of the objectives I gave you to do in the last campaign, do them here.
• Before you start your third Campaign, go to the Bonus material content in the main menu. You should have about 63 thousand points to buy content. If you don’t, check the objectives list located within the bonus content area for additional things you can do. Keep in mind that you will be getting 27k points for beating the next three campaigns. In total, you need 90k points to buy all the content.1
•  If you still find yourself short after the last campaign, start a new campaign in “Land in Chaos” and play as a leader. Just take over everything, disrespect the emperor, and have the people listed. The leader mode is worth some play in itself as the gameplay is actually quite fun

Step 3: Lastly, all you need to do is do one mercenary mission with each of the following characters. I recommend doing the mission “flame tigers”. In this mission, all you need to do is kill each “named” tiger, whereupon the others will run off to be replaced with another wave. There are three waves in each base/area, and only two base/areas where you need to kill them.

If the character you pick is a leader, simply select “Step down” from the events menu, and do the battle as normal.

TIP: It may be possible to play as a leader in the “Land in Chaos” campaign. In this campaign you can select friends at the beginning. Use characters from the list below as your friends and bring them into the battle with you, which may unlock several of these trophies at once. You can try this first with Guan Ping as the leader. If it doesn’t work, you can always just do another merc mission and substitute your character for one of the characters you picked, which should at least save you some time from having to restart the game and scroll through menus.
