Unverified.

Back up the file you are editing, or you may need to re-install that file from the game disc. Gone are the days of FAT32, so we can't make that FAT joke anymore.

Locate the game.pref file in the current user's directory (for personal machines, it is the administrator or whatever user name you log in as under Windows XP). For Windows XP, the directory is often ... Local SettingsApplication DataGas Powered GamesSupremeCommander ... .

Open the file using a text editor like Notepad (note you need to save the file as *.PREF not anything else) and ad the following string(s) above the string profile = {

debug = {
enable_debug_facilities = true}

And save the file. Boot the game and start a new character profile and start a new mission. This will not cascade to old or existing saves before the hack -- you also don't need to cheat until you want to anyway. The following codes may be toggled:

ALT + N -- Units invulnerable to weapon fire.
CTRL + ALT + B -- Sets Mass, Energy, Storage to 10K.
ALT + T -- Teleports selected unit.
CTRL + K -- Selected Unit is destroyed.
ALT + F2 -- Spawn unit (random?)
CTRL + N -- Rename selected unit.
CTRL + SHIFT + C -- Copies selected unit or structure.
CTRL + SHIFT + V -- Paste copied entity.
ALT + LEFT MOUSE CLICK -- Change to enemy perspective

The opposing A.I. will also have access to any cheats toggled on.

This game showed why you shouldn't write a majorly of the game-code in Lua. soo painfully slow for no reason.
