Here are a few tips for people just starting to play this game to make it a little more comfortable:

1- Play in a well lit room and make sure that board was calibrated with the lights on (as in, don't turn them on half way into gaming)

2- Keep that back foot off the rear sensor, practice keeping your foot just in front of it. Such a small tip on the back of the board gives you less stability in an ollie and gives you more of a chance to do a fliptrick.

3- You cannot perform a grab while doing a flip trick, that may sound dumb but keep it in mind.

4- Turning during advanced training is particularly hard, and I recommend skipping it.

5- Don't flick the board around aimlessly, know what you're attempting to do and let the board read it, be smooth.

6- Exaggerated push movements to get going are not needed, just place your back foot over the side sensor a couple of times and that should be enough to get moving.

7- When attempting to get the board back in position mid-game on the floor, try sliding it back in position. Any lift will cause your character to ollie.

8- Try to keep your front foot off the side sensors, oftentimes it's easy to move your foot back and cover them by accident. You may even want to utilize the sticky pads the company gives you to mark where you're foot should be in case you need to realign yourself without looking.

9- *most important* Be patient, this game is not easy. Start smaller on the easy difficulty levels and progress up once you feel comfortable. You will have to experiment with different truck settings to see which one fits you, and a certain truck setting might not be the best for every situation.
