Have a team with starting pitching that has one or two good pitchers and a bad first basemen or room for a designated hitter. Trade to get a good prospect or two. After that, simulate the whole season taking prospects over a B+ rating. After the season Chris Carpenter will be in the free agents. Always sign him, Carlos Delgado, and if you need an outfielder Magglio Ordonez. They will always be available after the season.
