Evil mode weapons
A good way to get some very good weapons and armor is to start a new file and save it. Go to Evil mode and finish its levels (preferably the high level ones). When prompted for which file to save the items to, select your new file. When you load the game, equip the weapons and armor and it will make the game a lot easier.
