Samson in Happy Garland is a D rank Trot Battler but he is skilled. Go to the Garland Arena and save the game. Wager on Samson by pressing Square then Triangle to make the maximum bid. Once you do this, watch the fight. The amount you can wager is limited by your rank. If Samson is in a battle against someone like Fennel, bet on Samson. You must watch the fight however, and he may still lose (which is why the game must be saved).

Finally got back to playing this game recently. It's a strange game, but it is fun, at least.
