Recommended Shifting
When you get the chance, choose to turn into an Automata. And as soon as you can, upgrade it to the Warlord Version: BladeWeaver. This is quite possibly the greatest shift you can have. Although it does not appear to be a good choice, with the right items, such as the Netherealm Amulet and the Circle of Life, his Offense, Attack, and Defense are maxed out. He is very fast and strong, plus he is huge. This form really helps when going against Daria, the last Boss.
