Since I know for a fact that GT3 was heavily bundled in North America this is still the best selling first party exclusive game of the 6th generation in that region and could have sold a bit better without a PC version. Message | Report |

I prefer Halo 3, but would very much like an HD remake. I've been a halo and cod player since the beginning and this was a huge step for gaming. Deserves a remake very much (with multiplayer). Message | Report |

This game isn't bad at all, it's great. It is the worst of the series, yet it's still better than most console FPS games. Like I said above, it was the best of the sixth gen besides Halo CE. Message | Report |

This is turning into a mini thread :) @stof- I played it so much partly because two of my friends owned it at the same time as I did, and also because I am fiercely competitive. The three of us were familiar to PC shooters, and so the challenge of beating each other at a console FPS was new and enticing. It didn't really matter what game it was, so long as it was playable and entertaining. If anybody wishes to discuss this more in-depth with me, simply send me a PM. Halo 2 is the best console FPS. Not the best ever (PC FPS are always better) but you can't find a better FPS experience on a sixth generation console ('cept maybe the first game). If someone says "Halo is the best FPS ever!" then they probably haven't played Battlefield 2 or Half-Life 2 on a PC yet. Message | Report |

lol...Comparing to the amount of First Person Shooter games to this day....Half Life/Counter Strike and Unreal Tournament are more fun to play than Halo. Halo IS an average FPS. Microsoft just spends ALOT ALOT OF MONEYand I mean ALOT on "advertisements for master chief". They are trying to suck as much people in the game, when there are better First person shooter games out there hehe :) The ones that say they love halo...are obviously Blind Folded :) Message | Report |

Dallinor, if the game was not nearly as good as it is hyped, and you believe it has a poor story and is simply "mindless", why did you even bother to play four different times at the hardest difficulty and put hundreds of hours into the multiplayer? yo Dallinor, half-life 2 was the most overhyped disappointment ive played. Sure the gravity gun was fun and the graphics were great, but that's not enough to make a game legendary. Play ocarina of time, when it came out. Now there's a legendary game. If you want to credit a pioneering FPS for making things awesome, credit Goldeneye. I played half-life when it came out, and I played goldeneye when it first came out. Goldeneye was undoubtedly the more creative, innovative, and plain better for its time. Battlefield 2 was a great PC FPS with limitless replay value. Still flaws of course, but every game has them. Message | Report |

True, there are some good aspects that have kept it alive, the mathematical proportions of everything, and the damage system. But beyond that the game is not nearly as good as it's hyped. I have already explained that there is a new generation in America, who were online virgins until Halo came along. Now we have people claiming "Halo was the first game to ever be online" and even "Halo was the first good FPS ever made". Which sickens me. If I resent the game, it's because its recieved far more attention then it ever should have. And that half it's fans have no clue what they're talking about. @stof "Your complaint is kind of like saying Atari games suck! You can already play those kinds of games by going to an arcade" To suit your example, how about you can play BETTER games at the arcade, which were made BEFORE the atari games, and which PAVED THE WAY for atari games. I brilliant game. If its only draw was its Multiplayer (which is great), like Dallinor said, why have huge fanbases appeared who just work around the story, coming up with theories or their own ideas. Obviously, Dallinor has either not played the game and is a huge fan of Half Life, which makes him put down other games like it. Or he has, and did badly, making him resent it. All i know, is it is a brilliant game, one of the best out there, and couldnt have gotten such a huge fanbase if it was as bad as Dallinor makes it out to be. Message | Report |

A lazily put-together mindless shooter, with one of the worst story modes available on any FPS to date. It's redeeming factor is it's simplicity in its game mechanics, a three year old could play it. It's success is built on the tidal wave that is xbox live, which kept the xbox alive as a console. Sickeningly however a new generation have been brought up to believe that Halo is the only FPS worth playing, and that it is an outstanding work of development unrivaled in it's genre. This is not true, it's simply an average game, overhyped, with an amazing amount of glitches, and strong online mode. To the people who say this game is 'great', go out and play a PC shooter, of the likes of Half:Life which is better game in virtually every department, and which was around long before this.
