I'm on a bit of an import-binge ATM. If I can find this for a reasonable price I think I'll pick it up.

Nintendo is stupid not to release this in the west, still I imported it, but with a dub it would be better for me

the PAL version was cancelled because NOE knows whats best for you and that you don't really want it, just like the NA version. Guys, Nintendo knows whats best for us, they should be able to choose what we play and don't play....

Heres a totally crazy idea... I mean... who knows... why don't they do that thing where they show clips of it on TV? You know, where they have the name, and what system its on and stuff. They put these things on IGN, but they seem to never make it to the TV like i thought COMMERCIALS were made for. I mean, that way some people might know the game exists you know? Crazy idea really, I mean, only mini games and mario kart get actual commercials... not mature games like these... silly me.

@Arsenal Um the best selling in Japan. Not worldwide.

Only selling about 300 copies a week, I was hoping for at least 100K to match Siren on the PS3 but oh well. Better come to America!

arsenal009 posted 01/12/2008, 10:20
Best selling fatal frame & it only sold 80k? How the heck did they get to #4?

But if it's already the best selling & it isn't out in NA & Pal yet, that's very good.

I guess survival horror games sell better on Nintendo consoles. Same can be said for rhythm games... I wonder what other core games will do better on Wii in the future?

There's nothing really wrong with the controls.
I was just hoping for Wiimote controlled camera and flashlight, that's all... just some kind of motion sesning or pointer functionality... but that's clearly too much to ask >_>

fatal frame 3 had 40,000 units sold its first week, but the ps2s userbase was huge

so this one did very good

The first shipment was 35,000, right? If so, than almost 90% of the first shipment sold. Not bad.

famitsu gave this game 34/40. So controls can't be that bad after all
Message | Report
NJ5 posted 09/08/2008, 04:55
IGN's review was wrong regarding the controls, several people who own the game have said so.

From their descriptions, I can say the controls aren't very different from the previous games (I played FF2 on the Xbox), just replacing the right analog stick with motion controls which should work fine. Keep in mind that this game doesn't have a controllable camera.

i think this can be, a very interesting game. Probably not a huge seller, but a great pice of software for "core gamers". I'm curious to know how they are going to make use of Wii controllers.
