Sega shipped 640,000 copies between Wii U and 3DS by 31st December 2013 and increased that by 70,000 copies to 710,000 copies by 31st March 2014. VG Chartz has 436,000 by 31st December 2013 which leaves around 200,000 copies on shelves WW which is about right. Message | Report |

@Pillow Hopefully the Nintendo themed DLC will help convince people that are on the fence about this game. At the very least, it'll show them that Sega is still supporting the game and fixed some of the issues people had. That said, I really don't think it's as bad as the reviews make it seem and all of the Miiverse comments I've seen seem to be very positive. Message | Report |

So the Black Friday bounce is great and all, but when it's an increase of 116% from a number as low as 3k, then it just doesn't mean as much. SEGA has got to be really unhappy with these sales. Nintendo as well. Message | Report |

06 went on to sell a million but at what cost? Pretty sure most of those sales came from bargaing basement prices and Sega is in no position for this to sell at bargain basement prices, not to mention this game got more hyped and was "supposed" to move some WIi Us according to some Message | Report |

I don't see why everyone is upset. Beyond the obvious I mean. This game got some of the worst reviews for a Sonic since 06, and opened higher than 06 in America. And come to think of it, Week 1 in America is higher than either the PS3 or 360 version of the game, both of which sold about a million. Hell, if this game has legs similar to Secret Rings on the Wii, it can easily sell 1.5 million lifetime. Message | Report |

If you can't sell a decent Sonic game exclusive on your console after previous successes what will? Nintendo apologists like to think Nintendo can still do fine with no one but Nintendo selling on the system but failures like this do nothing to help the system nor Nintendo actually willingness to support it long term. These numbers are tragic. Only 3 possible scenarios from here: port it to 360/PS3 when the agreement permits, no choice but to work on Sonic adventure 3 next or the death of the blue blur. I guess this type of look doesnt work for sonic. I think aside from that that these numbers are difficult to understand. Message | Report |

@DélioPT Japan absolutely doesn't care about Sonic anymore (like 10 years or so), so that's not a surprise. Even 3DS version (most popular console in Japan right now) bombed hard there. Only Mario & Sonic series selling, lol Message | Report |

This game managed to have better 1st week sales in Europe despite the difference in userbase. But at the same time it did worse in Japan - about half i think. Let`s see how it did in the States. Message | Report |
