@thewastedyouth its cheaper to buy on the PS store than box in a lot of places, I imagine PSN sales would be quite good as a result. I bought mine alone for 1/2 price on PSN. Message | Report |

@pitzy272 It didn't outsell MGS collection because the numbers for MGS only include the western sales and exclude Japanese sales of the HD edition. ICO and Shadow numbers are worldwide including Japan. ICO and Shadow is .71M worldwide while MGS PS3 western sales are .67m and including Japan sales of the HD edition it would be .77m worldwide. That does not include the Peace Walker HD edition sales but those are two separate games in Japan so it would be unfair to include both edition sales but it would also be unfair to compare ICO and Shadow to MGS when only one game includes Japanese sales. If you take out ICO and Shadow Japan numbers and only include western sales like MGS collection then ICO and Shadow would be .58m compared to MGS .67m. Also it is worth noting that ICO and Shadow came out earlier than MGS so it had more time to sell. In North America ICO and Shadow only came out six weeks earlier so that isn't much time however MGS numbers in North America are much higher. In Europe however ICO and Shadow came out over 4 months before MGS did so that was a large amount of time yet MGS numbers in Europe are now equal to ICO and Shadow in a much shorter span of time. It might also be worth mentioning that MGS also has an XB360 version which is selling quite well so if someone wanted to buy MGS collection they don't have to buy it on only the PS3, if it was exclusive to PS3 it probably would have sold even more on the PS3. So no ICO and Shadow did not sell more than MGS however it has indeed sold very well for an HD Collection and the fact that it is even close to a big series like MGS in sales is indeed very impressive. I think both of these HD collections will eventually sale over 1 million lifetime which is very successful but especially so for ICO and Shadow. A big series like MGS selling over a million with an HD collection is excellent but expected however a much smaller series like ICO and Shadow selling over a million is not only excellent but also much better than many would expect considering the sales of the original games. I think a lot of people never played these games before so maybe that's why it selling so well besides the fact that obviously they are great games. With MGS there were obviously much more people that played those games when they first came out so maybe they were less likely to buy these games again because they already have them in their collection however because it's a large series it is still selling more than ICO and Shadow. Even it's XB360 version is almost .5m and will certainly be much higher than that lifetime. But still they are both big hits for HD collections and are both obviously great games. Message | Report |

Wow, amazing that this has outsold the MGS collection in almost the same time frame, especially considering MGS collection brought a brand new MGS game to the ps3 that many MGS fans (myself including) have never played. Considering MGS games have consistently sold more than 5 million copies, I think it's likely that TLG (if it ever does release) will have much better sales than the two team Ico games released on the ps2. Never played Ico or SotC, but this collection is on the top of my "wanted games" list. Message | Report |

It's because this game is much bigger in Japan than GOW, however the legs in Japan will probably be bad as they almost always are. I think this game will only sell a little over half of what the GoW Collection has, which is still impressive. It's definitely going to be a 1 Million+ seller imo. Message | Report |
