JU-ON: The Grudge (Wii) > Opinions (14)

Still it had no advertisement, and you know it cost like nothign to make. I think 40 thousand is surprising for this title. I was thinking in the numbers of spray or that zorro game that came out.

They should have called this game "The Grudge: the video game" in the US. Would have sold three times the amount.

The main problem with JU-ON is that it's not a great game. The concept of using a flashlight to explore an area and receiving jump scares is very interesting, and there were moments that I did indeed jump, but I had two major issues with the game: 1) the controls were frustrating 2) the game is too damn short. Had those two issues been fixed, this could've been a pretty good game. As it is, though, it is an ambitious experiment which sadly falls short of greatness.

I guess now that the Wii has been out for a while all the older buyers have gotten rid of it, so no one buys mature games anymore? Dead space failed so bad it is crazy even for a light gun game. Cursed mountain and this got no ad time anywhere! At least you can see dead space ex on hulu.

Game magazine/sites reviews so far are VERY negative, but interestingly enough the 3 player reviews in Amazon so far are VERY positive. Reading both, it seems to depend on if you are looking for a gaming experience or frights...
