Fallout 3 takes place in the harsh capital wasteland which is the remains of the Washington D.C. area and the areas around out it.
To start of the game looks fantastic. The visuals are fantastic and very very pretty to look at. Everything in the game just looks nice and very very very real.
The storyline in this game should have been much much better. This is the biggest flaw in the game. It had great potenial and sounds like a very cool idea but it starts slow then gets exciting then leaves you with what the fuck just happened and why did i have to do that. The ending was not cool after all the time i put into this game and then it leaves me with that! i mean come on! It also got one of the worst game endings according to Offical Xbox Magazine.
The world in fallout is huge! There is so much to explore and see in fallout that ive logged over 60 hours into it and have only discovered maybe a little over half of the places even with the perk that lets you see everything! Whether your going to see what remains of D.C or exploring the far end corners of the world to see what lays out there, you can see so much.
The combat system works very well and Fallout 3 also intoduced something that is very very helpful. V.A.T.S.
Vats is a thing that lets you pause time and aim at certain parts of the body like arms and legs. If it hits vats will do an increased damage or do a critical strike. But you cant use vats whenever you would like you must have Action points. Each gun uses a certain amount of action points smaller guns dont take as much as larger guns. If you dont have any AP then dont worry its still very very easy to shoot the enemies of the wastes.
Well for perks there are alot of them to chose. If you want your enemies to explode in a bloody mess theres a perk for that, if you want animals not to hurt you there is a perk for that and so many many more.
One last note the DLC is really only for people who play and like the game alot save your money
Fallout 3 pwns!

dunno if F3 is the best "Bethesda" Fallout (FNVegas offers more Rpg and gameplay, while F4 slowmotion action feels monumentally at times and has addictive crafting/building), but F3 main story, dialogues and side characters are imo the best of 3 (F3, FNV & F4), while F3's action compared to many games of today, is still epic on very hard! Fallout 3 is the best Bethesda game. It outsold Oblivion, and it's a big reason why Skyrim did so well. Message | Report |
