Take on the biggest and baddest rappers in the world in Def Jam: ICON™. With the hottest music seamlessly infused into the world around you, the environments pulsate, crumble, and explode to life with every bone-jarring beat.

Time your attacks to the driving bass and use falling debris and exposed environmental hazards to pound your rivals. Featuring an all-new single-player story, the game takes you deep into the life of a high-rolling hip hop mogul: Building a record label, discovering new superstars, and becoming a hip-hop ICON.

  • Use music as your weapon: Beats trigger interactive hazards around you as your environment comes to life in reaction to the music. From exploding gas pumps to spinning helicopter propellers, taking advantage of your surroundings is as important as your toe-to-toe fighting skills. Become one with the beats to rule the streets, using the analog sticks like turntables to add beats, switch songs, and make music your weapon. Take control of the music to control the outcome of the fight!
  • Become a hip-hop icon: In an all-new story mode, build an empire and live the life of a music mogul by signing artists, managing their careers, and releasing hit songs. Do whatever it takes to become an icon in the world of hip-hop. But beware—you never know who's watching you.
  • Fight hip-hop's hottest stars: Fight it out with or against the biggest stars in hip-hop. Face artists like Big Boi, The Game, Ludacris, Paul Wall, T.I., and more on the way to building your record label and becoming a Hip Hop ICON.
  • Take your game online: Go head to head with friends across the country and the world for the ultimate hip-hop battle showdown on Xbox LIVE®!
  • Build your own custom soundtrack: Exclusive to Xbox 360™, you can load any MP3 track into Def Jam: ICON and use your favorite tracks just like the in-game music to affect the environment and gameplay. Whether you're a fan of thrash metal or 1980's pop music, you can fight to the beat of all your favorite tunes with the My Soundtrack feature.

People complain about this not being as good as Def Jam: Fight for NY. But I personally dislike this game simply because its a bad fighter.
