Presentation: Remember gears of war 2? The graphics powerhouse of 2008? Well you certainly won't now if you take a look as Naughty Dog's second game on the playstation 3, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. There were times as I was playing through this game that my jaw literally dropped. The visuals are amazing. This game will give crysis a run for it's money. The textures are some of the best I have ever seen in a console game, and the gameplay and cut scenes run seemlessly together for a graphical experience that you will never forget.

Gameplay: The gameplay in Uncharted 2 is a mix of platforming, puzzle solving, and third person shooting. The games that will come to mind when playing are tomb raider and gears of war. Normally that might sound like a bad thing, but Naughty Dog pulls this off with no mistakes. As soon as you get tired of shooting, they'll switch it up with a puzzle, or some buildings you need to climb to get to the next section. Throughout of the story I never felt any sense of repetitive gameplay at all. Although not redefining, the gameplay easily combines multiple gameplays into one for a flawless experience.

Value: Uncharted: Drake's fortune had a 10-15 hour story, depending on gameplay. What really kept you hooked were all the unlockables you could get, such as treasures. Uncharted 2 is still about a 10-15 story, with a lot of collectibles as well, so what makes me give the value a 9.5? One word. Multiplayer. Nobody thought it could happen, but it did. Not only did they step up their game on the story side with memorable characters and a gripping story, Naughty Dog included an online mode, with multiple game modes such as objective, deathmatch, and elimination. Some might believe it is a tacked on mode, IT IS NOT. The online is amazing and will keep you hooked for a very, very long time.

Conclusion: So, what makes Uncharted 2 different from other games??? Not much really. A lot of games have amazing visuals, a gripping story, awesome gameplay, and keep you wanting more. But, what uncharted 2 does do uniquely is pull all of these elements together, for a cinematic experience that will keep you hooked from the very beginning.
