The Backyard Sports series of sports titles is developed by Humongous Entertainment and consists of numerous sub-series, such as Backyard Baseball, Backyard Soccer, and Backyard Basketball.
The series started in 1997 with Backyard Baseball and achieved most of its sales success in the early 2000s. In 2013 the series was saved by Epic Gear purchasing the rights to the franchise. Since then it's primarily focussed on the tablet and mobile sphere.
