1) Matching identical letters.

2) Matching upper case letters with their corresponding lower case letters.

ALPHA BEAM is unique in that it includes opportunities for cooperation.  When you play ALPHA BEAM with your child you can foster coooperative play by talking to him or her.  As you play, say things like, "Which letter should we pick up first?"  and, "Where should we put the letter A?"
