Frogger is a game you will, surprisingly, find yourself coming back to again and again in these days of complex gameplay and design.. Luckily in Froggers case, the crazy fun gameplay has aged well.

Well, I didn't grow up in the 80's, so I don't have any nostalgia about how good Frogger used to be. I actually got this game free with that crappy MadCatz Arcade Stick (which was on sale for 10$) and I will admit, Frogger is a very Casual game, but in a good way.

I have been very tired lately because I have had mono, which I have no idea how I got, so I don't have alot of energy to cope with the frusteration that is Dead Rising and Halo 3's multiplayer. And, well, Frogger is always there! Just start it up, and it loads quickly. Now, the game might not be as addictive as some other games, but you will be working to get the several achievements, such as just finishing levels 1,2,3,4,5, and finishing a level without going under 45 seconds left. The acheivements offer their own type of encouragement, so to speak.

Ha, just wait until the alligators show up!

The game is simplistic. Frogger, your froggy frog of a character, leaps past traffic, then on logs and lily pads to get across to his home. Along the way you will get score boosters such as rescuing female frogs, and eating bugs. Also in the later levels you will have to dodge snakes, alligators, and other hazards.

There is Multiplayer, but you rarely get anybody else online, unless you wait for a long, long time, or you know a friend who also has frogger.

If only more people would play frogger online..

If only you could get an online match going..

In fact, the only real qualms I have with the game are the problems that the D-Pad isn't good, (but the game is not broken because of it) And The price. Whereas I got it for free, I don't know if I would have paid $5 for the game, actually, in fact, I know I wouldn't have.

But trust me, the game is fun. I don't know if this is an inferior port or not, but I like it because it is fun is short bursts. I guess it all depends on how good you like frogger, or how much the game grows on you over time. For me, well now I know what all the fuss was about.

worth the price... just barely.

Definetely one of the best "cheap" games on xbla. If you could get a multiplayer session up more often, it would be even better.
