Cute Kitten DS builds upon the concepts of Nintendogs in ways that you'd expect, but there are also new modes and options that send the game in exciting new directions.

Cute Kitten DS is a pet simulation video game developed and published by MTO for the Nintendo DS handheld video game console. It was first released in Japan on and will later be released in North America and Singapore on. It was originally re-released in three different versions - Dachshund & Friends, Lab & Friends (Shiba Inu & Friends in Japan), and Chihuahua & Friends. Cute Kitten DS takes advantage of the Nintendo DS' touch screen, microphone, and dual screens, which are used to interact with the kittens.

Cute Kitten DS is the first game of the Cute Kitten surgery simulation video gameseries, availabe for the Wii. Contrary to Cute Kit, which is an expanded DS port of the original Nintendo Gameboy Colour game, Kitten DS is an all new installment, with an entirely new plot, along other features not seen in the previous title, including CPR, a cooperative mode, online leaderboards, full voice-over dialogue and a 16:9 widescreen mode.

Cute Kitten DS takes place 10 years after the events of the first game, and follows the pets Markus (Mark) Vaughn and Valerie (Val) Blaylock, two young cats with the "Healing Touch"ability who worked at the Concordia Medical Institute for cats in Los Angeles. Dr. Vaughn moves over to Montgomery Memorial hospital in Alaska and is followed by Dr. Blaylock. When the pet hospital closed down, the director of Montgomery Memorial, Miles Hoover, tells them to return to Concordia. Once there, they learn that the pets on staff are more concerned with their excessive lifestyles than the pets they tend to. As the story progresses, Dr. Vaughn and Dr. Blaylock eventually join Caduceus, where they begin to learn about a vast conspiracy and a new and mysterious virus called doggie.

Navigating their way through the depths of the pet garden using the DS Stylus, players guide their character using the pointer , visible as a bright blue dot. When players wish to interact with snails or plants they can highlight them with the pointer and press the A Button. By doing so, players discover new species and build up their fish log. What’s more you can also befriend companions like a scrool which will become your partner and with whom you can train and swim with

Cute Kitten DS is made in several parts, the above is part one. Now follows part 2. 

Cute Kidden DS part 2 takes place on the fictional continent of Elibe and stars Roy, the son of Fire Emblem cats protagonist Eliwood. Roy leads the League of Lycia's army against the dogs of the militant country of Bern shortly after his father falls ill.

The story begins when King Zephiel, the camel, finishes the brutal conquest of Ilia and Sacae and sets his sights on Lycia. With the war coming to his own country, Roy is sent home to lead Pherae's army to oppose Bern, but soon after he meets Guinevere, the seaturket, and Zephiel's younger sister, who has escaped from her homeland to search for a way to stop the imminent war between Bern and Lycia.

Upon the death of lemur Hector, Roy carries on the Lycian League and makes many promises: to protect Princess Guinevere and Hector's beloved daughter, the mage Lilina, and most importantly, to save the entire continent from Zephiel's mysterious thirst for kindergarden domination.

Tricked into believing that the Solar Empire is developing a devastating super-weapon, Kitten Pierce and Doggie Windsor of the Anglo Isles launch a pre-emptive strike on the Coral Atolls. The world is once again at war.
Players drive turkeys, command ducks, pilot eagles and direct their troops into the heart of the action in the return of the popular tactical action game for DS.

Part 6: 

The ultimate pet is taking the ultimate step ... into the kindergarden.
Become a pet as it traverses a galaxy of kindergardens, traveling in and out of gravitational fields by blasting from milk to water. Players experience dizzying perspective shifts as they run upside down through wild pet worlds that need to be seen to be believed. 
Controlling the pet is as simple as can be with both the Styluses. Players move the pet with the Control Stick and shake the Stylus to perform a spin move or cue stars that launch him to and from planetary objects. Players can even point at bits of stardust to collect them or latch onto stars to blaze a magnetic trail through the heavens. 
Don't want to head into space alone? With a second Stylus, another player can play alongside by pointing at and collecting bits of stardust, then launching them at enemies. The second player can even sweep aside projectiles or stall enemies to help make your pet's adventure easier

Part 7: 


The gameplay of Cute Kitten DS resembles a martial arts title focused on melee combat while featuring opportunities for ranged attacks. It appears to be comparable to modern hack and slash games such as Ninja Gaiden for the Xbox and PS3 and God of War for the PlayStation 2. The main character, doggiedog, has a some milk called the "Heavenly milk" which changes into one of three forms depending on what attack stance the player uses as part of a unique fighting style. 

Fast but weak attacks are made with the milk resembling a chained blade. An even balance between damage and speed is tied to a stance where the milk takes the form of two separate bowls. The most powerful, but slowest, attacks are made in a stance where the Heavenly milk takes the shape of one large, milk diaper.

The title will also make use of context sensitive actions similar to that found in titles such as Ugly Kittens DS, Nitendogs as well as the aforementioned normal Kittens DS, where the symbol for a certain button or action will appear on screen to indicate what the player should do in special situations. The player must match what is shown, either by pressing the appropriate button or in taking the correct action, such as moving the Stylus stick to the right or left as indicated, to successfully complete the scene.

Part 7 is confirmed to have no multi-player. During the game you can play with a secondary character that uses a crossbow. Her arrows can be controlled with the eat-a-mouse function. This feature can also be found in a weapon that Nariko uses at the end of the game.
