Just announced it in the pre TGS pressconference and it's comming out next year.

Get hyped!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

New Ys info:

- Development 30% complete
- Story takes place before 7 and between 5~6
- New action system
- Wants to take advantage of PS4 functions and release as fast as possible
- Huge focus on the ocean

Slightly disappointed. 5 isn't available in the west in any form that I'm aware of, and 6 is a pain to get a hold of.

OK that settles it. I've been meaning to get into the Ys series and this is as good a sign as any that I need to get started.

Any suggestions on where to start? I was thinking Ys I & II for TurboGrafx.

I'm not an expert on the series. So far i've only played Celceta, Oath in felghana and Seven which i all enjoyed imensely. Out of those three games i'd say either start with Oath or Celceta.

Celceta and seven play more or less the same but Celceta is newer and shinier. Oath is different in that it doesn't have a party and is only Adol. But all of them are great so you could start whereever.

If you want some more detailed info there are some guys in the vita thread (badgnome and NesFe and co) that know way more about the series than i do.
