I expected them to say they're fully behind DRM, and it doesn't matter because people will buy their games anyway.

Gamer first? lol.... If they were concerned about that then they would release their sports games with ability to buy updated rosters for 10-15 dollars max. Considering they only update their engines every 4-5 years or so then that would be "gamer first". Many of their fans have been asking for ability to purchase updated rosters for a low cost instead of buying the game each year. Will EA listen? Hell no
