Multiple Companies Reportedly Make Offer to Xbox to Acquire Arkane, Including Ubisoft - News
by William D'Angelo , posted 2 hours ago / 514 ViewsMultiple companies have reportedly made offers to Xbox to acquire Arkane Studios, according to people familiar with the negotiations that spoke with Bloomberg.
Ubisoft is one of the companies to have made a bid for the developer, along with at least two others. Xbox has also considered selling the studio to its management.
The sources were not able to disclose the terms of the offers and Xbox has not yet come to an agreement with any of the potential buyers. A deal would most likely allow Arkane Studios to complete development on Marvel's Blade.
An Xbox spokesperson said the company is exploring options ahead of a December deadline, while Ubisoft did not immediately have a comment.
Arkane Studios, based in Lyon, France, is best known for its work on the Dishonored series and Deathloop. Marvel's Blade was announced in 2023.

It's hard to say when we don't know who's behind the other offers, but I don't think Ubisoft would be a safe place for Arkane. They just closed the team that made the Black Flag remake that was a big success and laid off many workers from one of the support studios that helped in that same game.
And now they want to buy Arkane? It doesn't feel right.
Good to hear. I'd really hate for these guys to go under.
They deserve a good home. If they weren’t in the middle of so much craziness, I could see WB/Skydance as a potentially good owner.
