Crazy how Switch 1 will have MGS 4 but not PS4 lol.

I was honestly starting to think they used lost ancient technology to put MGS4 on the PS3 and its just stuck there.

There’s a far bit missing there that most people would have expected to be in Vol 2.
Acid 1 & 2, Portable Ops, Rising Revengence, Ground Zeroes and The Phantom Pain.
Are they trying to stretch it out to a Vol 3?

The last three don't really need low-effort re-releases, but the PSP games would sure be nice.

I agree they could reasonably pass over the the two MGSV games, but Rising Revegance would be good to include given its from the PS360 era and would at least see a HD upgrade.

Oh, I guess it's more dated than I thought. I guess it would've been a great fit in this collection then. Then again, it doesn't seem like MGS4 got much of an upgrade either, and it's even older.

When you get to the PS3 and onward era, there's a diminishing return for remasters, because a lot of them looked pretty good to begin with. Sure, there's always room for improvement (see: the Oblivion remaster and Sony's updates to its tentpole franchises), like higher resolution and framerate, but still.

I agree, although I think PS3-era games still often benefit from actual effort getting spent on improving them. PS4 onwards it doesn't really matter a lot, at least yet. That said, much of the time PS3-era games are definitely OK even without any significant improvements, which can't really be said for older games.

The last three could use Switch 2 editions.

Hmm, that's definitely a fair point.

Both my least favorite MGS in one collection. Cool they managed to get 4 working though.

I love PW and appreciate the ending of Solid Snake's story in 4, they're the only games missing from Vol. 1 I really care about other than TTS.

Fair, I kind of hated Peace Walker though :P And 4 had some cool moments but I also think it had the messiest story (even including 5). The Twin Snakes would have been great to see ported, honestly the one I would be most keen on rebuying other than 2.

As poor of a 'collection' as this is, MGS4 getting a port alone pretty much makes it worth it.

Alittle lack luster in content so i hope the price matches.
