It’s crazy. I was looking at famitsu data and the last time PS5 sales were close to Switch sales was week 6/first half of February.
PS5 is much more expensive than US and even more expensive than in Europe. So all the price hikes have had a significant effect.
Also many games that cater to the Japanese gamer that where originally mostly on PS moved, also release on Switch or moved to Switch and PC entirely.
Since the Japanese like mobility of a gaming system a bit more than others and don't really care about the prettiest pixels, I could see Stream decks becoming a pretty big rival to PS.
I can definitely see handheld PC gaming taking off in Japan if it hasn’t already.
