The charts include comparisons between the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch, as well as with older platforms. There are articles based on our worldwide estimates, as well as the US, Europe, and Japan.

This monthly series compares the aligned European sales of the Nintendo Switch and the PlayStation 3.

PS4 sold 46M in Europe, it will probably be the only region to outsell the Switch. I expect Switch to be right in between PS3 & PS4 sales, so around 39M.

It's interesting to see the delta between the EU region and NA region. EU usually trailed behind NA, sometimes by quite a bit. The exceptions to this would be:
PS3 ahead of NA by about 1m
PS2 ahead of NA by about 2m
PSP ahead of NA by about 3m
PS4 ahead of NA by about 8m

In practically every other platform, NA has been ahead of EU by as little as 700k (Saturn) to as much as 22m (360).

PS3 Sold close to 31M in total, Switch is around 5M over PS3, so the lowest would be 36M if they continue with the same gap. Switch still has steam so I would say 39M is now low point & the Sky is the limit.
