Animal Crossing: New Horizons Takes the Top Spot on the UK Charts in Final Week of 2020 - Sales

Animal Crossing: New Horizon has taken the top spot on the UK charts for the final week of 2020, according to GfK for the week ending January 2nd, 2021. Sales for the game rose seven percent.

FIFA 21 is in second place as sales dropped 55 percent, while Mario Kart 8 Deluxe is in third as sales slip 35 percent.  Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is in fourth place as sales dipped 58 percent.

Just Dance 2021 is up to fifth place despite sales falling 43 percent. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War is in sixth as sales dropped 61 percent. 

Cyberpunk 2077 has left the top 10 completely and falls to 15th place as sales fell another 66 percent. 

Here are the top 10 best-selling titles:

  1. Animal Crossing: New Horizons
  2. FIFA 21
  3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe
  4. Assassin’s Creed Valhalla
  5. Just Dance 2021
  6. Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War
  7. Minecraft (NS)
  8. Super Mario 3D All-Stars
  9. Grand Theft Auto V
  10. New Super Mario Bro. U Deluxe

NSMBUDX in the top 10 again is a surprise to me.

I was thinking the same thing. I played it when the Wii u launched. It was good. But there are definitely better games for the switch. I guess it's just a more accessible game than most.
